Azta Urban Salon SM Jazz Style Sessions + Giveaway!

I am on self-imposed bed rest for the next few days after having my hell-ish teeth extraction yesterday... Which means more time to catch up with my blog entries! Last Wednesday, I finally had my hair colored again at the new Azta Urban Salon branch in SM Jazz, Bel-Air Makati. I am friends with Azta's Mel Velhagen since high school and knew of the whole salon preparation to bring Azta in Makati, so I'm glad when this branch finally opened!

The smell of a new room.

Also, I have a lot of Azta Urban Salon stories as a blogger. I think ALL my experimental hair phase were done here, including pink ombre, blonde, Storm gray, and digi-permed! Nakakatawa tignan yung photos ngayon, but actually I am also glad I've already went through different hair transformations while I was younger. More stories to tell to your children ang peg! ;p

For this Azta Style Session, my peg is still my favorite red-head look. I think I got this via Pinterest (my new app addiction), feeling ko nga ako yung girl na asa peg, haha.

Yezzzir!

Sweets to keep me awake for the next 3 or so hours:

All customers' stations have convenient bag hooks and electrical sockets for charging:

My personal hair stylists for the day:

Ms. Janice giving me the dry shampoo to prepare my hair for the dye:

For my choice of hair color, there was minor bleaching (around 30 minutes) so that the red dye will really pop. I am so used to bleaching, hindi na ako takot with its effects. Is it drying? Depends din siguro on the hair type, but make sure to use conditioner everyday to be sure!

With fellow bloggers Jen Maslang, Kat Valdez, Phya Pineda, and Kath Rivera:

Finally, after around 3 hours, I am finally red head again! :D If you're planning to have your hair dyed red din, make sure to a) Not wear WHITE for a week, coz the dye still bleeds when hair gets wet from sweat or after bathing. And b) Use special shampoo meant for colored hair to make the redness last longer. Don't forget the conditioner!

During the style sessions, I also met Pop Style Manila's Meg and Elaine. What sets their online shop apart from the others is that they sell by bulk (wholesale) a wide variety of ready-to-wear clothing to aspiring online shop sellers, young entrepreneurs, and bazaaristas. Planning to start a small fashion business? Check-out www.popstylemanila.weebly.com for updated and affordable clothes.

Dresses, skirts, and kimono, all from Pop Style Manila:

Special thanks to the team of Azta Urban Salon SM Jazz, and to my hair stylist Sir Chris for the easy and great makeover I had! Di ako nainip, and I really really feel good about this look. Sabi ko nga, "at home ako sa red hair!", hehe.
